Hugh Fox was a football and baseball star in high shcool, but lacked the grades to pursue higher education. He was killing time with his friend Bob Hardin when the Jumstart hit and gave him the ability to explode shrapnel from his body whitout harming himself. At first the explosions were massive and unfocused, but now he rapidly learning to control them.
Hugh tends to see himslef as a group leader, which brings him into conflict with the rest of the Strangers , who dont.
